Abstract: The Project Q-LAMPS aims at developing a multi-sensor based on advanced laser and quantum technologies, with an integrated software architecture and enhanced with artificial intelligence methods. The multi-sensor is meant to offer a parallel identification of risks of various nature (electromagnetic fields, gas toxic substances, ionizing radiation and biological contaminants). Each sensing module is specifically designed to meet the robustness, compactness and portability requirements needed for future field applications. All modules interface with a single software to process in parallel of the collected data and to reconfigure adaptively the sensing parameters through the use of reinforcement learning algorithms based on the different environmental conditions in which the individual sensors must operate. The use of innovative technologies enhanced by machine learning aims to advance the detection and protection capabilities of European Defense in terms of surveillance and situation-awareness.
