Abstract: The experimental evidence of Stochastic Resonance in the polarized emission of Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Lasers is given. We report for the first time in an experimental work a complete characterization of the phenomenon based on the residence times probability density. We give also the evidence of the bona fide resonance, clarifying this recently debated subject.
