Contrast reversal with a point-diffraction interferometer with a carrier frequency

Abstract: A modified point diffraction interferometer is presented, where interference is made in the first diffracted order of a composite grating. A 180° phase shift between reference and object beam is introduced to obtain a complete image contrast reversal.
