Abstract: We combined Second Harmonic Generation, Two-Photon Fluorescence and Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging Microscopy for studying human carotid ex vivo tissue sections affected by atherosclerosis, resulting in the discrimination of different arterial regions within the plaques.
