Design of a hybrid glass/polymer waveguide device for all-optical frequency conversion

Abstract: Great hopes currently lie in new all-optical switching devices based on polymer film waveguides. Here, the design of a novel all-optical waveguide Frequency Converter (FC) is reported, the research activity for which was carried out within the framework of the Italian Project on Telecommunications.
