Abstract: Light induced drift has been observed in a silage coated spherical cell containing sodium vapor and a few Torr of krypton as a buffer gas. The cell is illuminated by six laser beams, orthogonal to each other, obtained from a broad-band dye laser having a long cavity configuration. A compression of the vapor at the centre of the cell has been obtained which would permit the realization of wall interaction free experiments.
