Abstract: Nonlinear frequency-division multiplexing is compared with OFDM in experiment. NFDM exhibits a peak Q-factor gain of 0.7 dB (1 dB in SNR) over OFDM, in an experiment using normal dispersion fiber with 16QAM modulation, 16 Gbd, 32 sub-carriers and 1400 km.
