Abstract: We describe the current status of our experimental setup to produce quantum degenerate samples of strongly correlated fermions. Our system allows us to produce weakly interacting Fermi gases, molecular Bose-Einstein condensates and crossover superfluids in the strongly interacting regime. We also describe how we will use in the near future different optical 2D potentials to produce thin barriers to investigate Josephson tunneling physics and spin diffusion phenomena.
