Abstract: We present a method to analyse time delay feedback system. The advantage of this method, compared to other tools in time series analysis, is that it does not depend on the dimension of the chaotic attractor of the system. It solely depends on the dimensionality of the equations of motion. Therefore, even very high-dimensional attractors can be investigated using an embedding procedure that allows to work in embedding spaces whose dimensions are considerably smaller than the attractor dimension.
