Abstract: We give a measurement of the refractive indices of the nematic liquid crystal E7 at a wavelength of 1550 nm as a function of temperature. This particular wavelength has been chosen because it is very important in telecommunications. The measurements have been performed by means of a refractometric method, using a wedge shaped liquid crystal cell. (c) 2006 Published by Elsevier B.V.
