Abstract: We present an experimental study of the Raman spectrum of pure and sea water with respect to the temperature and the salinity dependence. The results, obtained with cw and pulsed excitation, show that the variation of the Raman spectrum with both parameters can be summarized by an effective marker obtained from the spectral analysis.
