Abstract: The self-, nitrogen- and oxygen-broadening parameters of pure rotational water lines in the 1.0-1.2 THz frequency range have been measured by means of a frequency modulated spectrometer. The J = 3(1.2) <- 3(0.3) (1.097 THz), 3(1.2) <- 2(2.1) (1.153 THz), 6(3.4) <- 5(4.1) (1.158 Hz), and 3(2.1) <- 3(1.2) (1.163 THz) transitions have been considered. The experimental determination has been supplemented by theoretical calculations within the semiclassical approximation. (c) 2008 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
