Abstract: We report the operating characteristics of a simple annular R.F.-discharge CO2 laser with particular reference to its focusing properties. The laser resonator consists of the co-axial electrodes structure and two flat mirrors positioned as close as possible to the electrodes, in a sort of near CASE I guided structure.
