Abstract: We have studied two different optical schemes, namely, a stable multipass resonator and a hybrid stable-unstable resonator, using the same Radio-Frequency excited slab geometry. The experimental results show that the stable multipass resonator allows extraction of a good quality output beam, together with improved power stability.
