Abstract: The main objective of the HFOG project (High resolution interferometric fiber-optic gyroscope for inertial sensing), is the development of an interferometric fiber-optic gyroscope prototype with high resolution. Thanks to innovative optical configurations and interrogation techniques, the prototype aims at achieving higher performances with respect to commercial instruments currently in use.
