Primary activity: Ion implantation and thermal/laser activation of color centers in diamond for quantum applications. Development of quantum sensing techniques based on defects in semiconductors. Development of a pulsed-laser microfabrication technique in diamond and of a pulsed-laser Silicon-on-Diamond bonding technique. Development of innovative diamond-based particle detectors.

Main experiences acquired: Ion beam techniques. Laser micro-fabrication techniques. Development and test of particle detectors.Theoretical modeling of transport phenomena. Simulation of electromagnetic phenomena from microwaves to optical radiation.
