Abstract: The question as to whether explosure to florescent lighting can give rise to skin cancer is considered. the conclusions are that there is no evidence of risk of skin cancer whatsover associated with fluorescent lighting and thst as there is no clear understanding of the causes and mechanisms involved in malignant melanoma fluorescent lighting cannot be implicated.
