Abstract: The focus of the Q-SEnS2 research program is the realization of quantum-enhanced sensors based on solid-state qubits. The project aims at overcoming fundamental challenges in terms of device sensitivity and noise protection, by exploring quantum control, novel classes of entangled states, and quantum enhanced readout. These concepts will be implemented and tested in an experimental platform centered around the Nitrogen-Vacancy (NV) center in diamond, which has emerged in the last years as remarkable qubit candidate for quantum computing and quantum sensing.
