Abstract: This feature issue collects papers related to presentations given at the International Quantum Cascade Lasers School & Workshop (IQCLSW 2024) and the co-located Italian Integrated Infrastructure on Photonics and Quantum Science (I-PHOQS) meeting. Organizers held IQCLSW 2024 in Ischia (Naples, Italy), 25-30 August 2025, to celebrate the 30th anniversary since the first Quantum Cascade Laser was switched on at Bell Labs, USA, in the group of Federico Capasso’s group. The I-PHOQS mid-term review meeting had a scientific program based on frontier research on Photonics and Quantum Science performed at the new facilities built within the recently started Italian, distributed Infrastructure I-PHOQS.
