Abstract: Communication to the Editor reports data on the time resolving power under the most unfavorable conditions by exploring the dark-adapted retina with a small spot. One experiment was designed to study the time-luminance relation at absolute threshold, at various eccentricities. The fusion experiment was determined in another experiment using sinusoidally modulated stimulus of variable temporal frequency and of variable modulation depth.
