Generation of ultrahigh repetition rate soliton trains in fibre ring

Abstract: A method for the generation of soliton trains at ultrahigh repetition rates is proposed. The method is based on the dual-frequency pumping of a passive fibre ring cavity. At the output port of the cavity, a train of independent pulses with hyperbolic secant profile is emitted.
