Abstract: Data fir the capacity, electric resistivity, and hemispherical total emissivity of tungsten are reported for the temperature range 1200-3600 K. A subsecond pulse-heating technique was applied to rod specimens; radiance temperature was by high-speed pyrometry. Literature values of the normalspectral emissivity of tungsten as a function of temperature were used yo obtain true temperatures, with the melting point of tungsten used as a calibration point. the result are discussed and compared with literature values. Reported uncertainties for the properties are: 4% for heat capacity, 1.5% for electric resistivity, and 7% for hemispherical total emissivity.
