Primary activity: The research activity at the INO-CNR in Pozzuoli concerns the imaging with terahertz radiation and the development of new portable tools and methodologies for non-invasive diagnostics of cultural heritage.

Main experiences acquired: Experimentation of innovative optical techniques, design and implementation of opto-electronic instruments for the study of works of art and archaeological sites.
Implementation of a high sensitive cavity ring down technique for ro-vibrational spectroscopy, assisted by an optical frequency comb synthesizers, on a buffer gas cooling molecular beam.
